It's been way too long. I've been occupied with school work or what not but the quarter is over... Yes, I am on the quarter system short but sweet ; P. I've been partying on some weekends and shopping for Christmas gifts. I got a jewelry box from Urban Outfitters for my secret santa and she loooves it (yay!)

Oh yeah and this year's Thanksgiving was better than I'd expected it made me appreciate my dad's side of the family a bit more. And I am thankful for that.

On Tuesday I went to JCrew to use my rewards card before it expires (on that day lol). The store looked depressing! I guess they're moving things but still it's no excuse b/c there was practically nothing I wanted!! I was looking forward to seeing the school boy blazer but there wasn't any! I hate the Pleasanton store. I'm gonna go to the one in San Francisco from now on. So I was in a predicament so I got the tuxedo beach tunic in white. It's laid back for the weekend yet it can be tucked in for a more professional look.

Got up this morning and decided to go to the Farmer's market to walk around in a nice Saturday afternoon. I had brunch at Fontina's they make my favorite amaretto french toast. I've learned how to make them since I've had theirs.

I took a picture of my moto-boots from kenneth cole.

Getting into the Fall Mode

So it's been getting cool/cold weather here I need to unseal those sweaters that I've packed into those vacuum sealed bags. As for today I had a horrible midterm this morning (well I didn't know it was that terrible during the test but afterwards ... yeah). One maybe due to the fact I've missed the last three lectures and about 20 points were on those lectures so unfair but it's my fault.

One of the things that makes me happy is j crew. Just made a jcrew purchase with the no minimum free shipping code : ) yay. I had the scout chino in my shopping bag for a while and I'll see if I like it once I try it on. I also chose a non-sale item 'slub cotton silk bib henley' in ivory I think it has a feminine yet laid back style depending on what you wear it with i.e. school-boy blazer or with cardigan. Whichever way it'll look nice. I went to the JCrew store on Wednesday to chekc out the new arrivals but they didn't have much that was "new" to me so ...umm hmmm.

I need to have pictures to liven up the blog page.

It's been a while ...

I've been busy with school work and also catching up on those dramas like gossip girl, 90210, house, etc. on hulu (i love that site!) I was originally at 13 units but since I've dropped my English class, theory and criticism, I'm not a full time student anymore but the biochem lab is pretty time consuming. Then again since I'm not an English major I really didn't see the point in learning theory and criticism. For the time I was there during lecture it felt like I was just there physically not mentally. In other words the topic did not interest me at all, in fact the theories that were brought up just confused me about what literature is and what it means to culture/society. blah. blah. blah. Seriously, I think literature should be appreciated in everyway i.e. critically, structurally, linguistically, emotionally, the list could go on. People enjoy literature differently and interpret it differently as well.

On a lighter note I found my "replacement" for some j crew items the vintage short roadster boot and also for the boyfriend blazer. I got the Kenneth Cole Hello Moto Boots and a navy blue blazer from BCBG factory store (it was missing a button and was on the sales rack for $40.)

This week I thought I could finally get my new car, 2010 Subaru Forester Premium in Sage green but turns out that the dealership couldn't get the car there in time for us this Sunday so I'll have to wait. ; ( I will be trading in my yellow volkswagon beetle for the forester. I'm trading from a small car to a bigger car! Now I can finally go up to Tahoe without relying on someone else renting a car or borrow an suv just to get there ; p. So i'm REAADDY for the snow! Here's a picture of it:

I LOVE the color!!!

What I did this weekend...on friday night I went out to see The Informant!. It was funny but not funny enough to make you gasp for air. I like the fact that the main character majored in biochemistry and nutrition...very interesting as it relates to what he does in the company very well. Unfortunately, the business aspect of it made him cuckoo.

I went to the mall and walked around for a bit, visiting J crew to get my 10% student discount on a previous purchase there...and then victoria's secret to get a free panty (from the free panty card they always send.)

Did some online shopping at Banana since I found a $10 reward card I haven't used yet. I got a Banana Republic silk graphic dress and the BR classic pencil skirt (this will be my first pencil skirt!)

Morning

I exercised last night, P90X plyometrics, and it felt good afterwards but in the morning the soreness takes over. Going to do yoga later on in the day. Can't really stress how much exercise can do for your life; it can lower your risk of cardiovascular diseases, increase your BMR (basal metabolic rate), control your food intake, and possibly increase your sense of self esteem. So in other words exercise! It does not need to be the whole 60 minutes if you don't want it to be but the minutes you spend doing a stretch, lunge, or squat it will add up to 60 minutes a day. : )

From the JCA blog J Crew has added new styles to the online store and in-stores as well so I took a look at the site. I really want the vintage short roadster boots in either color! ; p Here's a picture.

So, which one do you prefer??

J Crew Minnie Pants

A post for JCA blog. I tried on a pair of the minnie pants and I like the feel of the fabric but the look does not work out for me. I'm only 5' 2 or so and the pants hits at my ankles. Here are three pictures of how the minnie looked on me. It looks better on camera than in real life haha. : ) But I'd prefer the pants to hit higher above my ankles.

Wed.nes.day ; p

Just sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee. I've decided to start a blog since I noticed that I've been reading/skimming bloggers at this particular site for a couple of years now. I love J. Crew so I often visit this site http://jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com/. Then maybe this is an excuse to talk, rant, put my opinion in on my life or life in general since I have nothing better to do right now. I was planning on applying to dental school but decided not to. Why? Maybe I'm afraid that I'm not "good" enough. I know that that is not the greatest of excuses to not apply but something is holding me back. I don't know what that is unfortunately.

So for now I'm going to take a few more classes at UC Davis. One class in particular is molecular cell biology lab, which, is the mother of all labs. As my biochemistry professor once said "you'll be hot commodity" after you take that course. So what I'm hoping is that I can get a better job given that experience/exposure. I'll be doing protein analysis and also things that I've done many times before PCR, RT-PCR, and blots.

Over my summer break I took a nutrition course and as a person with high cholesterol I'm very conscious about what I eat. I guess my blog would include that as well. What I had for breakfast was 1/2 cup of fiber one cereal, 1 cup of vanilla flavored unsweetened almond milk, and one slice of toasted whole grain bread with apricot jam.
