This week I thought I could finally get my new car, 2010 Subaru Forester Premium in Sage green but turns out that the dealership couldn't get the car there in time for us this Sunday so I'll have to wait. ; ( I will be trading in my yellow volkswagon beetle for the forester. I'm trading from a small car to a bigger car! Now I can finally go up to Tahoe without relying on someone else renting a car or borrow an suv just to get there ; p. So i'm REAADDY for the snow! Here's a picture of it:

I LOVE the color!!!

What I did this weekend...on friday night I went out to see The Informant!. It was funny but not funny enough to make you gasp for air. I like the fact that the main character majored in biochemistry and nutrition...very interesting as it relates to what he does in the company very well. Unfortunately, the business aspect of it made him cuckoo.

I went to the mall and walked around for a bit, visiting J crew to get my 10% student discount on a previous purchase there...and then victoria's secret to get a free panty (from the free panty card they always send.)

Did some online shopping at Banana since I found a $10 reward card I haven't used yet. I got a Banana Republic silk graphic dress and the BR classic pencil skirt (this will be my first pencil skirt!)

Morning

I exercised last night, P90X plyometrics, and it felt good afterwards but in the morning the soreness takes over. Going to do yoga later on in the day. Can't really stress how much exercise can do for your life; it can lower your risk of cardiovascular diseases, increase your BMR (basal metabolic rate), control your food intake, and possibly increase your sense of self esteem. So in other words exercise! It does not need to be the whole 60 minutes if you don't want it to be but the minutes you spend doing a stretch, lunge, or squat it will add up to 60 minutes a day. : )

From the JCA blog J Crew has added new styles to the online store and in-stores as well so I took a look at the site. I really want the vintage short roadster boots in either color! ; p Here's a picture.

So, which one do you prefer??

J Crew Minnie Pants

A post for JCA blog. I tried on a pair of the minnie pants and I like the feel of the fabric but the look does not work out for me. I'm only 5' 2 or so and the pants hits at my ankles. Here are three pictures of how the minnie looked on me. It looks better on camera than in real life haha. : ) But I'd prefer the pants to hit higher above my ankles.

Wed.nes.day ; p

Just sitting here enjoying a cup of coffee. I've decided to start a blog since I noticed that I've been reading/skimming bloggers at this particular site for a couple of years now. I love J. Crew so I often visit this site http://jcrewaficionada.blogspot.com/. Then maybe this is an excuse to talk, rant, put my opinion in on my life or life in general since I have nothing better to do right now. I was planning on applying to dental school but decided not to. Why? Maybe I'm afraid that I'm not "good" enough. I know that that is not the greatest of excuses to not apply but something is holding me back. I don't know what that is unfortunately.

So for now I'm going to take a few more classes at UC Davis. One class in particular is molecular cell biology lab, which, is the mother of all labs. As my biochemistry professor once said "you'll be hot commodity" after you take that course. So what I'm hoping is that I can get a better job given that experience/exposure. I'll be doing protein analysis and also things that I've done many times before PCR, RT-PCR, and blots.

Over my summer break I took a nutrition course and as a person with high cholesterol I'm very conscious about what I eat. I guess my blog would include that as well. What I had for breakfast was 1/2 cup of fiber one cereal, 1 cup of vanilla flavored unsweetened almond milk, and one slice of toasted whole grain bread with apricot jam.
